Apple's (http://www.apple.com/) QuickTime VR (QTVR) is a kind of methods to display Virtual Reality images. There are Quick Time VR panorama and Quick Time VR object. QTVR panorama can display outside 360 degrees. QTVR object can display a three-dimensional object from various angles.
Apple's (http://www.apple.com/) Quick Time is required to display Quick Time VR movies. This software only to display is provided for free.
To move the displayed angle, you can drag some point by a mouse or use arrow keys.
Apple provides free converter softwares for MacOS. Few people know how to make QTVR file on Microsoft Windows.
I made QTVR files in this web site using Corel PHOTO-PAINT 9 included in CorelDRAW 9 Professional Edition (Japanese version) on Windows 2000. I checked the operation of the QTVR files (movies) by QuickTime Ver.4 on Windows.
In the case of panorama, you must unite images taken by digital camera into one image, then edit as one frame movie, and save as QTVR file type.
In the case of object, you must create a movie which includes more than 8 frames, then specify how many virtical columns, and save as QTVR file type.
