HTML and Browsers
I creates this site as browser-independent.
It follows
XHTML 1.0 strict (HTML 4.01 strict),
and it uses
Cascading Style Sheet (CSS)
"../maxima.css".
About English,
if you find something wrong or something better sentences than I wrote,
please contact me.
I know I am not good at English.
I hope you understand me.
Checking HTML Grammer
Sometimes I check HTML grammer
with following.
-
Another HTML-lint (http://openlab.ring.gr.jp/k16/htmllint/)
-
You can check HTML grammer.
There are links to sites related to HTML.
Links on
W3C (http://www.w3.org/)'s
HTML or CSS specifications,
and these Japanese translations.
-
W3C CSS Validator
-
W3C provides CSS checking service.
Operational Check with Browsers
My platform is Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
Netscape 7.0 (Japanese)
Netscape (Japnanese) (http://home.jp.netscape.com/ja/)
.
Version 7 is more stable than version 6.
It deal with CSS better than version 4.7,
and it seems they say good-by to former Netscape's unique way.

-
Netscape Communicator 4.78 (Japanese)
-
Netscape (Japnanese) (http://home.jp.netscape.com/ja/)
.
This may be
a descendant of an old de facto industry standard browser.
It is poor about recent W3C specifications.
It sometimes make documents unreadable with CSS.
I keep this site at least readable,
but I am going to make it out of support.

-
Internet Explorer 6 (Japanese)
-
Microsoft (Japan) (http://www.microsoft.com/japan/)
.
IE 6 - 5 may be a de facto standard now.
(2002.10.09)
-
Opera Version 6.05 (Japanese)
-
Opera (Japanese) (http://jp.opera.com/)
.
It became something of a topic in Japan, too.

-
NTT DoCoMo N502i
-
A model of mobile phone with i-mode function.
It hardly displays images,
but it can do texts.
I try following
DoCoMo's (http://www.docomo.co.jp/)
HTML format,
but I do not check operation with other models.
I hope J-phone's J-Skyweb models can display texts.
-
Lynx 2.8.2
-
Please follow
Home Page of patakuti (http://www.t3.rim.or.jp/~patakuti/)
.
There are links related to Lynx.
It is text browser.
Recently, I don't have checked on Lynx. (2001.6.12)
